  1. As a beginner, I found your site very easy to navigate and understand, so thank you for that! I like how you put into perspective the cost of becoming a model railway hobbyist. I think so many times we focus on the dollar amount and not on the hours of entertainment, learning, and creativity we will enjoy. That being said, I love how you give tips on how to save money starting out (like building your own trees). Your models are AMAZING! I love your attention to detail, you even made cracks and patching on your asphalt streets and crumbling concrete on bridge piers! I had to zoom in on many of your pics to tell they were replicas rather than the real thing. I’m so glad I checked out your site and look forward to seeing your next railway model project. Thank you

    1. Thank you, Camille. I appreciate your compliments on both the site and my individual hobby efforts. I try to add elements that make a scene ‘seem’ right, even if the actual details are not precise to scale, especially true in N Scale, which I model/ There’s an upcoming article on this coming up in the future. I hope to inspire newcomers to the hobby and dispel the myths of it being too expensive, as you said, it is the enjoyment and knowledge gained that is truly priceless. Thank you for visiting Model Railway Techniques, James.
