   Last week I ordered a [Free-Mo] module from The Model Railroad Benchwork Store. I did not know what to expect, but I knew that I did not have the time to produce the modules I would like to have on the timeline that I’d like them, so I gave it a try.
   Today the kit arrived. I am totally blown away. I ordered an odd size – 80″ long – because that fits in a particular space I have available, and I thought one contiguous module with fewer joints was a good idea. James found a way to package it to keep shipping costs under control. It arrived in one long box.
   My spouse and I assembled it in just under an hour. A second one will go even more quickly since we now understand the process. The instructions are comprehensive and clear. Hardware and even a bit were included.
   Assembly is straightforward. Everything is predrilled and countersunk where appropriate. Parts mated up precisely and securely. [My wife] laughed out loud when she realized that one of the early steps involves installing a piece that serves as an alignment jig, and is subsequently discarded. Even that piece was predrilled and countersunk.
   The legs fold nicely, and are solid when deployed. I’m totally happy.

   UPDATE: I received my Modular Benchwork Kit on February 6th.

   Shipment arrived on time (from FedEx) and in excellent condition. Materials for the Benchwork were packaged very well; so there was no damage.
   I am very pleased with the way James kept me informed of the progress of my order –
   from the day I ordered the Benchwork to the day I received it.
   Directions regarding assembling the Benchwork were excellent, showing step by step illustrations.
   In addition, he always answered my emails promptly; gave a very detailed work order and estimate; and the quality of his work is very good.
   UPDATE: More photos of my L and S MRR Layout

   But first, additional info about the Modular Benchwork:
   It is very sturdy.
   It is level in all directions – (those levelers on the “legs” are great!)

   And last but definitely not least:
   The Model Railroad Benchwork Store was the only business (of which I personally contacted) that offered the option of ordering plywood
   to cover the top of the Modular Benchwork.

   Modules were packed well and arrived unblemished.
   Was a little disappointed with the cost of shipping.

   I am very happy with my bench kit. I had an issue with a couple of the slots for C1 braces but fixed these with a power burr and mini hacksaw. The kit provided an excellent base for my train set, and I’m very happy with my purchase.

   Hello, overall I am pleased with the quality of the benchwork I received. However after I layer out the pieces to assemble them I noticed none of the outside edges laid flush. I can fix this myself I just wanted to let you know. I attached a picture as an example
