If you are a cabinetmaker, operate a CNC workshop, or run a small manufacturing shop in Germany or other countries in the region, this program offers a straightforward way to add a repeatable flat-pack product line you can produce and sell locally.
We are The Model Railroad Benchwork Store / ModelRailwayTechniques.com (USA). We license qualified partners to manufacture and sell two product lines using our licensed plans and specifications:
- Benchwork / baseboard kits (simpler, typically no legs)
- Complete table kits (legs + bracing; higher value)
Why Germany and other surrounding countries is a strong EU starting point
Germany has a strong culture of precision manufacturing and efficient logistics, and a large Model Railway following. For the right partner, this is an opportunity to:
- produce consistent kits at scale
- ship domestically with predictable costs
- expand later (country-by-country) if desired
Licenses are issued country-by-country.
What you can sell (two product lines)
1) Benchwork / Baseboard Kits (recommended start)
Low complexity, easy to standardize, and a great entry product for local delivery and parcel shipping.
2) Complete Table Kits (added after process is proven)
Higher order value and margin potential, best once you’ve established reliable QC and packaging.
Suggested launch plan
- Launch with 6–10 standard baseboard/benchwork sizes
- Add 4–6 table kit sizes later
- Keep SKUs limited at first so production stays repeatable and predictable
Pricing strategy (EU reality)
A practical strategy is:
- launch competitive while highlighting superior quality and repeatability
- raise prices as demand becomes consistent
- use custom requests to increase profitability once local customer needs become clear

Authorized Builder License (recommended)
Includes co-branding rights and potential leads via our website (directory listing and regional pages while active and in good standing).

Minimum standards (required)
All partners must meet minimum standards for:
- materials and hardware
- workmanship, accuracy, and repeatability
- packaging engineered to prevent shipping damage
This is essential for low returns and a strong reputation.
